Full Day Whitewater Rafting Trip

Our professional rafting guides will take you down 18 miles of the Yellowstone River and through class III plus rapids. We will break for lunch on a small island before hitting the Yankee Jim Canyon to round out a 4-5 hour adventure-packed day. BOOK TRIP NOW!

Amazing Overnight Raft Trip!

The very best way to experience the Yellowstone River is our amazing overnight raft trip. John Colter from the Lewis and Clarke expedition saw this river section for the first time in 1807. We are proud to offer this incredible and unique 24 hour excursion. This raft trip and overnight stay is perfect for families, couples and small groups. Let us make the arrangements for you. All you need is a sense of adventure.

This journey begins at 9:30 a.m for check-in at our Wild West Rafting Office. You will be transported to the Yellowstone River just minutes away. At the river, you will meet your expert guide. After a brief talk about safety, we board the raft and paddle off!

This whitewater section of the Yellowstone River has several class III rapids, beautiful mountain scenery and wildlife. Prepare to get very wet!

During a calm stretch of river, we land on a river bank filled with tall cottonwood trees. You are served a hearty picnic lunch. Take this time to do some exploring before boarding the raft for more whitewater action. Yankee Jim Canyon is the next thrilling section of river. Rapids such as "Yankee's Revenge" and "Box Car" are sure to provide a lot of excitement. The deep, narrow canyon offers an up close and personal feel of nature.

After 18 miles the river begins to meander through Montana ranch land. It is a unique section of river that only our overnight guests experience.

At approximately 3 p.m. you arrive at our destination camp. During your river trip, our staff has been busy preparing your overnight stay. A campfire, hot or cold drinks, your dry clothes and gear greet you at arrival.

Cabins with bathrooms and hot showers are available. For those wanting a more outdoor experience, guests can choose to sleep in canvas wall tents!

With the campfire glowing, your awesome guide will grill a thick Montana steak. Dinner includes a variety of tasty sides guaranteed to satisfy the hungriest rafter! Other menus are available upon request.

Relax after dinner, take a walk along the riverbank, fish, or just sit by the fire for the evening. Then prepare for stargazing in Big Sky Country! Enjoy stories and roasting marsh mellows before it's off to a cozy night's sleep. BOOK TRIP NOW!

Small Boat, BIG Water!

Paddle hard! Run Yankee Jim Canyon for an unforgettable whitewater rafting experience. This is a special whitewater experience for hard-core enthusiasts. You will experience 8 miles of the Yellowstone River facing class III and class IV rapids. Minimum trip size 6, maximum is 8 adults looking for a thrilling ride. Inflatable Kayak Trip:

Experience the thrill of navigating a kayak through 6 miles of the Yellowstone River! With one of our patient and knowledgeable guides by your side, you will enjoy the ride of a lifetime. Trip length is approximately 2 hours. We provide the inflatable kayak with all of the gear. Minimum trip size is 2, maximum is 4. BOOK TRIP NOW!

“I was shivering, but it wasn't because of the cold. I was in Yellowstone National Park. I was thinking about how many butterflies I had in my stomach. I was about to go on my first white � water raft trip. When I got in the raft, the guy who was going to steer the raft was telling us the things that could happen to us. He finally got to the part where he said, "If you happen to fall out of the raft�" I didn't need to hear anymore! I had already clung on to my Dad. As soon as the guy was done, the puffy raft took off into the cool, clear water. I had forgotten to bring my coat so I used my Mom's. The river was calm but I could hear the sounds of rushing water. It was getting closer and closer and I was getting more and more scared. Then all of a sudden, the boat started getting faster and faster and it seemed as though it was going up and down, and it was! I was on white water! My arm was linked through my Mom's cold arm. We went through a series of wild white water. After we got off the raft my Dad told me that when he looked back to see if I was still scared, he saw that I was grinning ear to ear.”
