Saddle and paddle combo, the best of both worlds! Start off your day atop your trusted steed then shift into high gear for an exciting whitewater rafting trip down the Yellowstone River. This is the perfect way to experience all the beauty and adventure Montana has to offer!
Morning Saddle and Paddle:
You’ll start your horseback ride at 9:00 am and spend 2 hours with a professional cowboy guide, break for a wrangler lunch, then finish with a half-day whitewater trip that starts at 12:30 pm. BOOK TRIP NOW!

Two-Hour Horseback Ride with Cowboy Cookout

Overnight Pack Trips
(July 5–September 5)
Venture deep into the Absaroka Wilderness just north of Yellowstone National Park. Ride through aspen meadows and over a majestic mountain pass (9,300 ft) before reaching our rustic base camp. Cozy wall tents stocked with modest amenities provide comfortable sleeping quarters.
Whether you’re staying one night or one week, you’ll have plenty of time to relax, embrace nature, fish in mountain lakes and streams, photograph wildlife and end each day next to the campfire as you gaze at the stars. BOOK TRIP NOW!
Pack Trip Packing List:
Sleeping bag (20 degrees) and pad and pillow, small flashlight , personal gear, camera, small day pack, binoculars, hiking boots, camp shoes, heavy and light clothes, rain coat, gloves, hat, bug spray with deet preferred, toiletries, snacks
*please no bottled water*
Food and tents are provided, please bring what you need to be comfortable, but limit your gear to 2 duffel bags, (not including your sleeping bag). DO NOT STUFF ALL OF YOUR GEAR INTO ONE OVERSIZED DUFFEL! If you arrive with one, gigantic overweight duffel, you will be asked to repack, as this makes it difficult to pack the mules! It is best to use 2 bags (max weight is 35 lbs per bag).
Fishing licenses can be purchased in Gardiner at Parks Fly Shop.
